small steps for better earth

A journey of one thosand miles begins with single step. Let's start to taking part in campaign for better earth by taking simple steps:

  1. Eating organic. for each one percent increase in organic food consumption, we can reduce pesticide and herbicide by over 10 million pounds per year. organic food also tastes better and is far healthier.
  2. Recycling. Recycling can cit waste up to 75 percent. If each of us recycle just paper, glass, and metal, we would save 162 milliom tons of material from entering landfills each year.
  3. Denying disposables. Disposables is literally a dirty word. If we all just use a glass instead of a water bottle and a coffee mug instead of a styrofoam cup, we can save 244 billion bottles and cups made from petrochemical based plastics.
  4. Switching to natural personal care. Using natural personal care has double benefit i.e. keeping toxic chemicals off your body and then keeping them out of the environment after they wash off your body
  5. Using natural lawn care. The average suburban lawn uses six times the hazardous chemicals per acre than conventional farming. If just ten percent of us switched to natural lawn care, over half billion punds of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides would be prevented from entering our environment.
  6. Increasig energy efficiency. Energy and fuel efficiency can dramatically reduce use of fossil fuels. On sulate your home and consider ahybrid next time you buy a car
lets take action now !!
